FAQ

Home battery backup systems for Texas homeowners

Eos Backup and Battery installs home battery systems for homeowners across Texas, with expedited scheduling throughout the Greater Houston area. Our systems provide automatic backup power the moment the grid goes down, with no switches to flip and no action required from you. Power stays on for your refrigerator, lights, Wi-Fi, medical devices, and essential circuits.

We are based in Spring, TX and serve homeowners in Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, Cypress, Tomball, Conroe, and statewide across Texas.

Why do Texas homeowners need battery backup power?

Texas homeowners need battery backup because the state averages more than 90 power outage events per year, more than any other state, and the average Texan lost 496 minutes of electricity in 2023 alone. Summer heat, winter storms, and an isolated grid create conditions where outages are not a question of if but when. A home battery system removes that uncertainty.

Unlike a portable generator, a battery system starts automatically, runs silently, produces no exhaust, requires no fuel storage, and carries no HOA restrictions. It is always ready, whether the outage lasts two hours or two days.

Why did Eos choose the Sigenergy battery platform?

Eos chose Sigenergy because it delivers the strongest surge handling, modular expansion, and V2X capability available for Texas homes. We evaluated multiple manufacturers before selecting Sigenergy for those three reasons.

A single Sigenergy controller delivers 17.1 kW of peak surge for 10 seconds, enough to start a 3-ton air conditioner without tripping. The modular design lets homeowners start at 9 kWh and is expandable to 54 kWh per stack (or 45 kWh with the V2X module) by adding battery modules, without replacing the controller. The optional V2X module allows a compatible electric vehicle to serve as additional backup, adding 60 to 100 kWh of capacity during extended outages.

All Sigenergy components carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty. There is no fuel, no maintenance schedule, and no noise. The system manages load priorities automatically through the smart panel.

How much does an Eos home battery system cost?

Eos home battery plans start at $87.45/month and scale with the size of system you need. The Essential plan (9 kWh) covers critical circuits for up to 6 hours and starts at $87.45/month. The Pro plan (27 kWh) is our most popular: it replaces a standby generator with up to 18 hours of whole-home coverage, starting at $169.9/month. The Ultimate plan (45 kWh) delivers up to 30 hours of backup for the largest homes, starting at $226.86/month. Five commercial plans are also available for businesses.

All plans are available as a cash purchase or through our in-house financing program. Checking your monthly payment has no impact on your credit score. Installation, permitting, and all required inspections are handled by our team.

How does Eos install a home battery system?

The process starts with an eligibility check. Answer a few questions about your home and we generate a custom monthly payment with no obligation. If you proceed, our team schedules a site assessment, handles all permitting with your local jurisdiction, and coordinates installation with a local certified partner. Most installations are completed in one to two days.

After installation, the system connects to our remote monitoring platform. Our team receives alerts for any performance events and can diagnose most issues remotely. You also receive mobile app access to monitor battery charge level, grid status, and recent outage activity.
